Your photographs are about you, not the photographer. As I take pictures, I make myself as invisible as possible; something I've learned in my 20 years of photojournalistic experience, whether photographing Antonio Banderas for El Mundo, traveling the world for Cosmopolitan, or capturing the fleeting moment of birth or the candor of a wedding kiss.

Children have taught me the importance of play, which is present in my photography in one way or another.

Your life is not about the photographs, though; it's about being present, in the moment, with your loved ones. The pictures happen as if by magic, appearing later on a carefully designed book, a photo album, or as a digital presentation, helping you remember the memories you created.
